Solfrid H. Gundersen is the "grandmother" of the shops on Pavelstorget. Here in front of the big shelf with various cooking oils - and the fridge with eggs and dairy products at Grønthuset.

The product selection at Grønthuset delights everyone who shops here, and offers great surprises for all new customers.

 

On Pavelstorget is Drøbak's only specialty store within fruit and vegetables. Here you will find a rich selection all year round, with the best offers of the season. Early in the morning, fresh supplies are picked up from Økern in Oslo, but Grønthuset also offers local specialties. Corn from local producers in the season, and several varieties of potatoes grown in Frogn are good examples. Here you will also find northern Norwegian Gulløye potatoes.

 

Colorful community on store shelves

The Greenhouse is so much more than what you would expect from a regular vegetable store. Here it is easy to be tempted by tzadziki, feta and olives, a real French roquefort - or Italian mozzarella. An entire wall is full of many types of healthy cooking oil, not least several grades of olive oil. Here you will find your special vinegar for use in salad dressings, or a wide range of Asian and Indonesian tasty sauces. We list even more: Spices, canned fruits and vegetables, fresh and dried herbs, rice, couscous, tempuri, noodles, honey, quality jams, chocolate, dried fruits, several types of fresh mushrooms, nuts in bulk, fresh eggs, yogurt, honey, pickled peppers, exotic types of bread… and something as «Norwegian» as coffee cream, milk and butter. And a good selection of tea and coffee in bulk.

 

Order according to your wishes

- If you need something special, you can order it the day before and we get it from Økern early the next morning, says Ismet Nurlu. He is a busy man who, together with the rest of the staff, is on hand to meet customers' needs. Grønthuset makes Pavelstorget a traditional market with fruit and vegetables, a pleasant fashion place in good weather in summer. Also in the winter, Grønthuset is Drøbak's green source of healthy, varied and exciting food - but then you have to go into the "back room" to find all the vegetables.

 

30 minutes customer parking

You can park for half an hour behind the shops for free while you shop at Pavelstorget. Drive in at Drøbak Torg, behind Drøbak Kino and further straight ahead.
