The Old Bakery is a nice little restaurant located right by Drøbak Torg. They are located in one of the oldest buildings in Drøbak, built in the period 1735 - 1760. The menu is full of good flavors and large portions. It serves small dishes, fish soup, burgers, beer and wine, among other things. Perfect to sit inside in front of the fireplace on a cold winter day or out in the sun in summer. • Trip Advisor July 2020: 5.0 (out of 5).
Former bakery
The building has previously housed stables, brewery, caretaker's home, clothing store and bakery. In 1989, the artist Jan Kåre Øien bought and refurbished the building. After the renovation, there has been dining on the ground floor and a studio on the second floor.
Today's driver
The restaurant has recently been refurbished by owner Trine Nordby. She has run a number of restaurants and has over 20 years of experience in the industry. Among other things, Hellviktangen art café and Signalen on Nesodden. Here in Drøbak, she operated Jungeltelegrafen (Telegrafen) in Torggata for several years and now in recent years Det Gamle Bageri.
